factsheet

what

Kadoo (www.kadoo.com) is the all-in-one site for storing, managing and selectively sharing consumers' digital content such as email, contacts, tags, photos, videos and other files.

why

Storing all of a user's digital content in just one place makes it easier to manage and share that content. Kadoo allows users to share broadly if they want, and also to share selectively with just the family or friends they want, both within and outside of Kadoo.

who

Kadoo is for consumers who find it increasingly difficult and time consuming to manage their digital content across a growing number of video, photo, tag, bookmark and other sites. And Kadoo is for consumers who want to exercise greater control over who sees what about them, their children and their families.

The 20 million students using the Blackboard technology platform are expected to be early adopters of Kadoo. Many of these students will see Kadoo as a tab on the same Blackboard web page they visit each day to check on homework assignments and to communicate with instructors.

when

Kadoo launched the beta of its service at the DEMOfall 08 conference on September 8. Kadoo is free and available worldwide.

team

Kadoo is led by CEO Christopher Etesse and CTO Daniel Cane. Cane was a founder of Blackboard and Etesse a senior executive there.

Kadoo is based in Washington, DC, with offices in Delray Beach, FL. The company is backed by private investors.
